Susan J Mills (2009) Probing the past: a toolbox for Baptist historical research. Baptist Historical Society, Didcot.
This publication is aimed on the one hand at graduate, undergraduate and ministerial students at the outset of their research into Baptist history for a dissertation or extended essay and on the other at the private individual, whether local church historian, starting research into the history of his or her church, or biographical researcher into his or her family history. It updates its 1992 predecessor Sources for the study of Baptist history, in a number of particular directions. In particular, the development of the Internet and the rapid expansion of resources available on the World Wide Web has led many students to think that they can find all the information and reference material that they may require, accurately, via the Internet.
